Description

Winning entry to a contest requiring one to depict a game character as an astrological sign.

Print version of this is 11 x 14" , printed on backlit film (the computer monitor seems like a big lightbox to me, so thought I would see how the film would work, very successfully btw).
The Tengwar script on the border reads " I am balance" "And I am justice"
As always, thanks for looking.

Great style and detail, I especially like the texture on the tree. My only thoughts on this piece are I think the red light by her feet would have more of an impact on her body, and it also looks like her eyes are slightly different sizes (that might be a compression problem though.)

Thanks Maggock! I know what you mean with the glow, this image gives me fits in terms of it's appearance in different profiles.
We have 5 monitors around the house and I swear it is drastically different on each, even after loading profiles and gamma adjustment :) Some of the subtle light effects just do not come through compared to print, but alas that's what we all deal with with the web I guess.

Great pic, i only can see a problem in the left arm of the character, it looks a bit small, but is a very nice figure :) good work

Intresting idea. I see what you mean with different monitors seeing different colors. I have trouble with that too.

You've really misplaced the right eye. :)

Very interesting method/style you have here. The smooth, almost photo-real elements aginst the flat, surreal BG is quite a jump. Unconventional color sheme, but I like it!
